# Cursor AI is free for Students

Yo fam 👋
Let’s talk about something wild: **AI is not your brain.** I know, shocker.

We’ve got tools like *Cursor AI* now that feel like coding with Tony Stark’s JARVIS. You type `//fix this bug` and BOOM—magic. But here's the thing...

> Not understanding the code you write? You’re just hitting 'start' on the microwave and calling yourself a 5-star chef

---

## 1\. Don’t Be a Code Zombie

*If you don't get the logic, you're just typing spells without knowing the magic.*

AI helps. It doesn’t replace thinking.
If you’re copy-pasting code like it's a Reel dance trend you barely get, *you’re doing it wrong*.
Learn what a loop is. Understand conditions. Know why arrays exist. That stuff still matters in 2025.

---

## 2\. Cursor’s a GPS, Not a Teleporter

*It’ll guide you, but you still gotta know where you’re going.*

Cursor AI is lit 🔥 for:

* Refactoring messy code

* Debugging faster than your sleep-deprived brain can

* Getting suggestions when you're stuck

But please... read the output. *Understand it.* Don’t just hit "Accept" like it’s a Terms & Conditions popup.

---

## 3\. Logic First, Cursor Later

*If you skip the basics, Cursor becomes chaos with autocomplete.*

If you don’t know logic, AI will gaslight you.
You’ll be like:

> “Why is my site crashing?”

And Cursor will be like:

> “Here’s a totally wrong fix, but you won’t know 'cause you skipped the arrays chapter.”

So, before going all-in on Cursor:

* Do mini projects

* Solve logic puzzles

* Try breaking things (on purpose 👀)

* THEN ask AI for help — like a buddy, not a babysitter

---

## 4\. Push to GitHub or Prepare for Pain

*Cursor might "fix" your app into the Shadow Realm. Git is your holy water.*

This is not a drill.
Before letting Cursor touch your code like it’s Edward Scissorhands on Red Bull...

🛑 **Push. Your. Code. To. GitHub.**

Because if it messes something up (and it *will*), you’ll need that sweet sweet `git revert` or backup.
No one wants to watch their project get nuked because Cursor misread a comment.

> TL;DR: GitHub is your Ctrl+Z on steroids. Use it. Thank me later.

---

## 5\. Storytime: Krutik Got Cooked by Cursor

*I trusted the bot. It betrayed me. Learn from my pain.*

I once asked Cursor to “fix this issue”... and it deleted half my web.
Me: 😭
Cursor: ✅ All done!
Moral of the story: **Check before you wreck.**

---

## TL;DR: Use Your Brain, Then Use Cursor

*Don’t outsource thinking. That’s your job.*

* AI is a boost, not a brain

* Learn logic, then let AI assist

* Read your code. Like, actually read it

* Push to GitHub before letting Cursor touch anything

* Cursor is powerful. So are you. Use both

---

Let’s be devs who *understand* the code, not just copy it.
Stay curious. Stay chaotic. And don’t trust AI blindly—it’s not your mom.
